Remove any loose debris and moveable objects out of the path of the Deer Blocker Deer Fence system. 3.2 - PREPARATION A. Field Measurements: Verify the running length of the deer fencing path. Make sure you have sufficient quantity of Deer Blocker Deer Fencing to effectively enclose the areas to be protected. B. Field Verify: Verify the number of existing objects that can be used to support the Deer Fencing. Measure the distance between existing objects you plan on using for Deer Blocker Fence support. 3.3 - INSTALLATION A. Install the Deer Blocker Deer Fencing along the pre-determined enclosure or barrier fencing path. B. Best height is 7.5’ with the bottom 6” laid-out on the ground and staked in place (on the side from which deer would approach) to keep deer from ‘nosing under’ or slipping under the installed fencing. C. Do not exceed 20 feet between supports or fence posts. 15 feet is ideal. Use any natural or existing supports available (trees, posts, buildings, etc). D. Where existing supports are not available, install the EZ-Set Angle Posts or the Premium Posts to support the Deer Blocker Deer Fence. Follow the manufacturers written instructions for support post installation. E. At each post or support structure, secure the Deer Blocker Deer Fencing every 12” along the support (from top to bottom). F. Stake the bottom border of the Deer Blocker Deer Fence to the ground every 3 to 4 feet along the length of the enclosure. This prevents deer from nosing under the fence. G. For at least the first 3 months attach holographic Mylar ribbon markers to the fencing. Space them every 10 feet along the fence, 4ft up from the ground. This is a temporary measure that helps prevent collisions with the inconspicuous fencing. 3.4 – ADJUSTMENTS / CLEANING A. Remove debris and waste materials from project site.
